I'm going to be incorporating more biking into my WODs because over the summer I am taking a week with my dad to go mountain biking. I want to be prepared to bike long distances.

Tournament

We had a college showcase tournament last weekend. We did pretty good with a record of 2-0-2. Again I forgot to contact college coaches. While there we took a visit to skidmore. Today I was at an amusement park so I can say I got my walking workout in for the day. I'm beat.

First day of Summer

Morning:

I feel that when doing heavy weight I tend to arch my back. I stopped at 8 because when I could feel too much pressure on my lower back.

It's to hot

It was around 95 degrees today. We had a captains practice after my exam today. It was awful and I was drenched. I keep getting these nose bleeds and they are really starting to get on my nerves. They happen at the worst times and cover my face in blood. After the practice about 2 hours in the pool.


I am in the middle of watching the BUD/S class 234 mini series. Its pretty good. A must watch for any future BUD/S candidate.

More exams

I had exams today and yesterday. I have not made it to the gym but am going tomorrow. I have been spending a lot of time outside. Around 3-4 hours. Still I would like to get to the gym tomorrow after my last test so that I can get a good workout in. I have a possible opportunity in the works that could land me a chance to go to India. I will keep the status of this posted in the future.

Game today

Swim

This morning I went for a short swim. I did 2 500yd swims in my gym's outdoor pool. The first one I finished in 12:00 min and the second in 11:30. I felt that not trying to go fast and to regulate my breathing helped a lot. I know these are awful swim times but I have a game later today and I don't want to push it too hard. Normally I do my 500yd in about 10 min. I really have to work on it this summer.

Manmakers

Happy Fathers Day!(early)

After the festivities at my house I finally got a chance to do some pt. I tried out mapmakers for the first time.

I was going to do 10 rounds, but after the first round I was dripping in sweat so I decided that I would have to cut it short. I do after all have a game tomorrow. Hopefully we win.

6/15

Swam today for a while. Then had a practice. Then swam some more. Played a few hours of basketball. I was active for at least 8 hours today trying to let some of the soreness pass. Tomorrow I won't be able to do much. We are having people over and I have to clean all day. Sunday I am going to midtown with a friend to workout. Yesterday we had a game. Lost 2-0 but it was ok. Saw a few of my old friends there. I'd like to get a nice long run in soon. Maybe like 8-9 miles.

Exams

Had another exam today. Did 45 min of pool running. Also played basketball for three hours. More lungbusters later in the day.

Really sore from yesterday. My back hurts. Taking it easy tomorrow I have a game at night.

No wod today

Multiple final exams. Tomorrow for sure. Spent most of the day at tests. Kinda sucked. Parents wouldn't let me go.

Put in 3x10 pullups and some pick up soccer. Tomorrow will be harsh.

This is a tentative schedule for the summer. It seems like a lot, but when you have 16 hours a day completely open there's not much to do but work out.

Quick PR

In between driving and then flying I spent some time with my siblings.

I'm back

School is over. Grades are in. Just a few more exams. 

I'm back to it. I was seeing a slip in my grades as I was focusing on workouts so I took a step back. Not anymore. I'm back to it starting yesterday. 

6 rounds:
1x20ft rope climb
10 pushups 
15 air squats

I also practiced shooting. I was shooting 44 magnum, 44 special, 22 rifle, ruger 22 pistol. I'm seeing improvement with my shooting. I can hit a 4 inch spread with the rifle from about 30 yards. It's certainly better than before. 

As for the past month, I have not given up physical activity. Pool running in the morning 2x a week, soccer practice 3x a week, and I had 2 tournaments. I just haven't been doing extra workouts on my own. 

I visited a couple of colleges during my tournaments. Harvard was nice, but the academy is just too sweet. I am resolved to go to the academy and I do not foresee anything that could change my mind.
